Hodges Loizzi associate Mary A. Karagiannis will discuss investigating employee misconduct in an educational setting at the upcoming Illinois Association of School Personnel Administrators’ (IASPA) HR Essentials Workshop on Thursday, November 4 from 11:00am – 12:00pm CT.
Mary’s presentation will guide educational human resource administrators through investigations into employee misconduct, discussing topics including how to conduct effective investigations, the five phases of effective investigations, and employee discipline considerations.
The conference will be held at the Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights.

Mary represents both public and private school clients in labor and personnel matters, regularly counseling them in issues pertaining to the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. She also has extensive experience representing clients in matters including arbitrations, labor practice charges, unlawful discrimination complaints, and discipline hearings.
