As an associate in the firm, Katherine LaRosa’s practice includes advising and representing school districts in a wide range of education, labor, and employment law matters. Katherine also represents clients in litigation matters before state and federal trial and appellate courts, and in administrative hearings before state and federal agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. Clients know that Katherine brings a unique insight and passion to her work, resulting in proactive counseling on legal issues affecting schools and park districts. 

Before joining the firm, Katherine was a PILI Intern for the Chicago Medical-Legal Partnership for Children where she helped advocate for special education students in Chicago Public Schools. Katherine believes the practice of law offers the opportunity to effectively use the power of the law to mitigate risk.  

While in law school, Katherine held a position as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert E. Gordon in Illinois Appellate Court. In her spare time, Katherine is an avid chess player, reader, and likes to spend time with her husband and their two dogs.
