Jeff Goelitz to Present “Negotiating During a Pandemic” at IASBO’s 70th Annual Conference

Hodges Loizzi partner Jeff Goelitz will share insights about negotiations during the pandemic at the Illinois Association of School Business Officials (IASBO) 2021 Annual Conference on Thursday, June 10 at 11 am CST.

In the session, “Negotiating During a Pandemic,” Jeff and his fellow panelists will discuss:

  • What bargaining has looked like during a pandemic
  • Issues unions are presenting at the bargaining table
  • Topics that may be coming in the year ahead

Jeff will be joined by co-panelists Justin Veihman, Business Manager/CSBO of Palos CCSD 118; Charlotte Montgomery, CSBO of Ball Chatham School District; and Stefanie Croix, Director of Business Services of Lockport THSD 205. The panel will be moderated by Cathy Nelson, Assistant Superintendent of Business at Crystal Lake Elementary District 47.

This is the 70th annual conference hosted by Illinois ASBO. The event will be held in person at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center from June 9 -11, 2021.

Jeff Goelitz represents Illinois schools and school leaders, focusing primarily on labor and personnel issues. He has guided school boards through numerous contract negotiations with teachers and staff and frequently advises superintendents and HR professionals on RIFs, evaluations, grievances, and employee misconduct investigations and termination cases.
