Hodges Loizzi Attorneys to Present School Law Insights at the IASB-IASA-IASBO Joint Annual Conference

Hodges Loizzi attorneys will share insights on various school law topics at the upcoming IASB-IASA-IASBO Joint Annual Conference on November 21-23 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Partners Pam Simaga and Tony Senagore will present on effective strategies for school districts to preserve their property tax base, an essential factor in maintaining revenue and managing tax rates responsibly. Their session will also cover defending assessment appeals, addressing tax rate objections, and navigating exemption applications. They will be presenting in Grand Hall L, Ballroom Level, and at 3:00 pm on November 22, 2025.

Partners Heather Brickman, Frazier Satterly, Jeff Goelitz, and Michelle Todd will be on the “Legally Stumped” panel session, where districts can put their toughest legal questions to the test. The panel will tackle a wide range of current issues, including the legal and ethical use of AI in schools, curriculum objections, gender-based athletic participation, grievance misuse, union disputes, and growing conflicts between state and federal policies. The panel will be held in the Grand Hall I Ballroom Level at 8:30 am on November 23.
