Michelle Todd practices in all areas of school law, specializing in special education and student matters. Ms. Todd frequently lectures on a variety of special education and student issues and is active in HLERK’s representation of the Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education. Ms. Todd has been named an “Emerging Lawyer” in the area of School Law by Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s “Leading Lawyers” division (2015-2017). She is also a member of the National and Illinois Council of School Attorneys.
Ms. Todd graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she served as vice-president of the Moot Court Honors Society and was inducted into the Chicago-Kent College of Law Bar and Gavel Society. During law school, Ms. Todd served an internship with the United States Attorneys’ Office in its Civil Rights Division and served an externship for the Honorable George W. Lindberg, U.S. District Court Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
