As a partner in the firm, Steve Richart concentrates his school law practice in the areas of board governance, FOIA, OMA, elections, school finance, and property taxes. Steve works closely with clients to address the many legal, regulatory, and business challenges they face on a day-to-day basis. Additionally, Steve represents school districts in judicial and administrative proceedings involving similar matters. Steve’s ability to break down complex legal issues into plain, understandable terms coupled with his attention to detail serve as the cornerstone to his practice. Clients know that Steve is on their side and will work hard to provide the options available to successfully address their legal issues.

Clients turn to Steve for his deep knowledge of school law, his patient listening, and his calm and practical approach to solving client problems. He takes the time to learn and understand his clients’ goals to ensure the best results while providing the highest level of service. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, biking, and playing guitar.
