Partner Scott Metcalf concentrates his practice on representing and counseling clients on financial matters, including property tax appeals and litigation, construction, real estate, and operational issues such as Freedom of Information Act requests, and board governance issues such as the Open Meetings Act. He has extensive experience appearing before courts and administrative agencies on assessment appeals, tax rate objections, and tax exemptions. He also drafts and negotiates all types of contracts, including construction contracts, and litigates disputes arising from those contracts.

Committed to good government and financial responsibility, Scott previously worked at and then served on the Board of Directors of the Civic Federation, an independent, non-partisan government research organization that studies and comments on financial issues in the Chicago area and the State of Illinois.
