As an associate in the firm, Kevin McKeown concentrates his practice in all phases of civil litigation at the trial, appellate, and administrative levels. Kevin regularly litigates claims filed in federal court alleging violations of Title VII and Title IX of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, equal protection, and due process. He frequently handles claims filed in state court for breach of contract and personal injury, petitions for writs of mandamus and certiorari, and administrative review actionsKevin also represents school districts in student discipline and residenchearings. 

Kevin helps clients navigate through the complexities of the litigation processfrom inception to completion, and takes pride in keeping his clients actively involved every step of the way. He believes that the practice of law requires immense attention to detail and places particular emphasis on the value of writing comprehensive legal briefs aimed at obtaining dismissal of cases in the early stages of litigation.

Kevin is active in community sports and enjoys playing hockey and golf in his spare time. During his final year of law school, he coached the University of Illinois Division II hockey team, helping them reach the semifinals of the Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs for the first time in program history.
