As a partner in the firm, Jessica Nguyen concentrates her practice in the areas of students and special education. She has extensive counseling experience in a variety of student and special education matters, including student disciplinary issues, athletics, residency disputes, eligibility for special education services, Section 504 services, LGBTQ+ issues, student records challenges, and placement disputes. In addition, Jessica has substantial special education litigation experience, assisting school districts in administrative due process hearings and federal court.

Jessica works with clients to provide practical solutions to difficult issues involving students’ educational services. Her clients know that Jessica brings a unique perspective and set of abilities to her work, resulting in proven and effective results in deescalating conflicts and finding consensus in students’ educational interests.

Jessica’s prior work as an educator in a Washington, D.C. public charter school, as well as internships with the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, District of Columbia Public Schools, and the National Women’s Law Center are at the root of her desire to work with schools to ensure equitable services to all students.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters, traveling, skiing, and reading.
