Partner Jason Manning is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of board and corporate governance, internal and governmental investigations, and litigation at the trial, appellate, federal, state, and administrative levels. He guides school boards and municipalities in navigating often complex laws and regulations including Title IX, TIF, FOIA, and the Open Meetings Act. In addition, Jason has experience successfully litigating fast-paced TROs and injunctions in both state and federal court.

Whether for general counsel or litigation, clients turn to Jason for their most challenging legal issues. With experience representing Fortune 500 companies in a wide range of high-stakes legal matters, Jason brings a unique perspective and skillset to help his clients achieve their goals and obtain favorable results on a broad array of labor and employment, corporate, financial, and litigation matters.

Jason has obtained multiple victories for pro bono clients including overturning a death penalty sentence for a client in Mississippi, a favorable settlement for student victims of a hate crime at university, and political asylum for a student activist from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Prior to joining Hodges Loizzi, Jason spent over nine years handling complex litigation and government enforcement matters at a large law firm representing clients in a diverse range of industries including financial, publishing, and manufacturing.

In his spare time Jason enjoys running, golf, barbecuing, traveling, and spending time at the lake with his wife and three children.
