As a partner at the firm, Tony Loizzi serves as general counsel to numerous Illinois school districts, charter schools, and private schools. Tony’s school law practice spans the full range of labor and personnel issues including employee investigations, union organizing campaigns, employment contract negotiations, and reductions-in-force. He routinely advises clients on complex employee discipline and discrimination issues and provides counsel regarding employee disability-related matters. Tony has been involved in the negotiation of hundreds of collective bargaining agreements and Memoranda of Understanding with unions representing both teachers and educational support staff employees.  

In addition to his legal experience, Tony has over eight years of experience as a human resources professional, including as the executive director of human resources and administrative services for a large suburban Illinois high school districtAs a result of his extensive human resources background, Tony brings a unique perspective to analyzing the legal and practical implications regarding his clients’ employment and labor law issues. 

In his spare time, Tony enjoys CrossFit, playing intramural soccer, and spending time with his wife while watching his two sons and daughter participate in their extracurricular and athletic activities (soccer, football, lacrosse, and horseback riding – hunters/jumpers).
