As a partner at the firm, Tony Loizziserves as general counsel to numerous Illinois school districts, charter schools, and private schools. Tony’s school law practice spans the full range of labor and personnel issues including employee investigations, union organizing campaigns, employment contract negotiations, and reductions-in-force. He routinely advises clients on complex employee discipline and discrimination issues and provides counsel regarding employee disability-related matters. Tony has been involved in the negotiation of hundreds of collective bargaining agreementsand Memoranda of Understanding with unions representing both teachers and educational support staff employees.
In addition to his legal experience, Tony has over eight years of experience as a human resources professional, including as the executive director of human resources and administrative services for alarge suburban Illinois high school district. As a result of his extensive human resources background, Tonybrings a unique perspective to analyzing the legal and practical implications regarding his clients’ employment and labor law issues.
