Aimée LeBlanc, an associate at the firm, counsels school districts in a variety of school law matters, with an emphasis on student and special education matters. Aimée regularly advises clients on issues regarding Section 504, IDEA, residency, and discipline matters, as well as special education issues involving IEP meetings, placement disputes, and due process proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Aimee spent more than twenty years working in Illinois public elementary education districts as an administrator in the area of student services, holding a variety of roles such as coordinator, State-Approved Director of Special Education, and Assistant Superintendent for Student Services. Aimée blends her former experience as an educator and administrator with her legal knowledge when working with clients. In doing so, she uses her unique skillset to help school leaders feel comfortable and confident in developing solutions to meet the needs of all parties in a matter. Aimee firmly believes that providing a solid foundation of legal support to her clients supports their ability to do the all-important work of supporting students.
Aimée is an active runner and yoga enthusiast. In her spare time, as a mom to two active teenagers, she can often be found attending soccer and lacrosse games, or spending time with her husband and her family’s menagerie of rescued animals, including a Labradoodle, two cats, and a turtle.
