Summary of Responsibilities:

The receptionist is the gatekeeper of our law firm. The primary responsibilities of the receptionist are to (1) answer and direct all incoming calls, and (2) greet clients and visitors. Other daily tasks include the sorting and distribution of all incoming mail and packages and the accurate recording of all attorney whereabouts.

Since the receptionist is often the first person with whom clients and visitors interact, he or she is important to the image/voice of our firm and must be polished, professional, and articulate. The receptionists will have the responsibility to interact with all levels of personnel within the firm – from support staff to senior partners – as well as clients, opposing counsel, legal vendors, and other visitors and therefore is vital to the firm’s continued success.

Legal Secretary / Administrative Assistant

Summary of Responsibilities:

The legal secretary is responsible for performing administrative duties to assist attorneys including: preparing and editing legal correspondence and documents; scheduling appointments and maintaining attorneys’ calendars; making necessary travel or dining reservations; maintaining and organizing client files; entering and reviewing attorney time for billing; and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, courts and agencies on behalf of attorneys.

File Clerk / Office Runner (Full Time)

Summary of Responsibilities:

The File Clerk / Office Runner is an integral member of our Firm’s support staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills as daily interaction with all members of our firm, from attorneys to legal assistants to our clients, is anticipated. The File Clerk / Office Runner also serves as a representative of the Firm when filing documents at local courts, and / or delivering and retrieving documents from our clients. This fast-paced position also includes the daily assistance to our legal assistant staff in the compiling of court documents, presentations, or case files. Finally, a keen attention-to-detail is a must as the File Clerk is charged with the efficient, effective, and routine maintenance of our main file room.
